The IHIA will present a 1.5 day training workshop with experts in the field of Forensic Investigative Genetic Genealogy, specifically designed for law enforcement in Suffolk County. 


(This workshop is for for Suffolk County law enforcement only)


This training will focus on:


DNA in 1990's and DNA in 2024 (What's available now vs. before)
Dawn of FIGG (Changes in the last 6 years)
GEDmatch vs. GEDmatch PRO
Four (4) steps to get FIGG started today
FIGG (Match lists, Family Trees, Public Records, Reference Tests, Identification)
Common myths and misunderstanding about FIGG
Case review(s)
No one left behind, Q&A Session
Thinking about other "New DNA Technologies" (Rapid DNA, M-Vac Systems, Dealing with Mixture)
The Next Steps with FIGG
