UPCOMING BOARD POSITION VACANCIES

Nominations Being Accepted for Elected Positions on the Executive Board of Directors

Office holders on the IHIA’s Executive Board of Directors are non-salaried voluntary positions. Serving on the IHIA’s Board requires considerable time, effort, dedication, as well as a strong desire to serve the membership and make the IHIA grow in influence and stature.

Nominees to the IHIA’s Executive Board of Directors should have the necessary flexibility of time and personal commitment to perform the position’s varied duties. Additionally, a nominated candidate must have their employer agency’s support and approval to serve on the IHIA’s Executive Board of Directors

The IHIA’s By-Laws prohibit self-nominations for elected offices on the Executive Board of Directors. For information regarding the announced positions’ specific duties and responsibilities please refer to the IHIA By-Laws, Article V - Officers, Section 5.10 - Vice President and Section - 5.12 Regional Directors. The By-Laws are posted and available for review on the IHIA’s website in the section titled, “IHIA By-Laws.”

Effective January 1, 2024, nominations for the below positions are hereby announced:

Offices of Regional Director

For information regarding the geographic regions covered by Regional Directors refer to the IHIA By-Laws section under Article IV - Board of Directors, Section 4.01 (b).

An Active Professional Member in good standing assigned to the below listed IHIA Regions, is eligible to nominate another Regional Active Member within the same Region who is in good standing, to run for election for the following Regional Director positions.

Northern Regional Director

Nominations are being accepted for the Office of the Northern Regional Director.  Nominations for this office must be submitted in writing by an IHIA member in good standing who is a Northern Region member, other than the named nominee.  The written nomination must contain the nominee’s name, the office to which the nominee is nominated, and a written summary of the nominee’s experience and qualifications for election.  The Northern Regional Director’s position is subject to election by the Northern Region’s membership.

Southern Regional Director

Nominations are being accepted for the Office of the Southern Regional Director.  Nominations for this office must be submitted in writing by an IHIA member in good standing who is a Southern Region member, other than the named nominee.  The nomination must contain the nominee’s name, the office to which the nominee is nominated, and a written summary of the nominee’s experience and qualifications for election.  The Southern Regional Director’s position is subject to election by the Southern Region’s membership.


Written nominations for the above-announced offices will be accepted from January 1, 2024 through April 1, 2024.
