IHIA events are scheduled to train state, local and federal investigators, and other law enforcement officials, the basic and advanced techniques of homicide investigation. Each event brings together 75 – 350 officials to share information and to extend their knowledge of crime scene investigation.

    The IHIA will conduct an eight-hour management seminar. These presentations will be open to those supervisory personnel who hold the rank of Sergeant or higher. The day will consist of several highly qualified law enforcement speakers presenting topics pertaining to major case investigations and unit leadership.
