Share Your Perspective: Death Imprint Survey

Friday, October 23, 2026 7:44 PM | Amber Lagace (Administrator)

The International Homicide Investigators Association (IHIA) is sharing an opportunity for our members to contribute to an important conversation about the lasting impact of working with death.

Kolleen Hancock, deputy coroner and founder of Last Responder and Responders Inc., is collaborating with Dr. Jack Digliani on the Death Imprint Survey, an initiative exploring how repeated exposure to death affects professionals over time, including their emotional well-being, relationships, worldview, and lives outside of work.

Homicide investigators bring a unique and valuable perspective to this research. By participating in this anonymous survey, members can help identify the challenges faced by professionals in this field and contribute to the development of meaningful resources, support, and resilience training.

We encourage interested IHIA members to take a few moments to share their experiences.
